Junior Program 2026

The Scott Lake Junior Program is led by Head Golf Professional Denny Peters, a Comstock Park native who grew up playing golf and developing his skills at Scott Lake Golf & Practice Center. Denny was a member of the 1987 Comstock Park High School Boys State Championship Golf Team and brings both deep local roots and decades of experience to the program.


The Scott Lake Junior Program provides a fun, welcoming environment for young golfers to improve their skills and build a love for the game. Players learn fundamentals, tips, and techniques from dedicated professionals who are passionate about growing the game of golf. This program is an excellent opportunity for juniors to develop their abilities, gain confidence, and enjoy the game both on and off the course.

Scott Lake Golf & Practice Center’s 2026 Junior Golf Clinic offers a fun, structured, and educational experience for golfers ages 7–14. There are 5 sessions to choose from. Each session is from 6:30–8:30 PM  and the cost is $175 per junior (check-in begins at 5:45 PM). Juniors receive professional instruction in full swing, short game, putting, grip, and stance, followed by supervised on-course play on our Par 3 course to apply what they’ve learned. Each session is designed to build confidence, improve fundamentals, and keep kids engaged, all in a safe and supportive environment. Each junior also receives a golf towel and bag—plus skills they can use for years to come.

This isn't just another golf lesson, its a game changing experience. Over this 6-week program your golfer will learn how to think like a champion and play smart under pressure under the guidance of Denny Peters-- a former mini tour player and our head golf professional! Each week is structured with the first hour being skill development (full swing, short game, putting, and green reading) followed by one hour of live on-course play on our par 3 course to apply real strategy.
