Golf is a challenging game even on a golfer's best day and a downright struggle when each swing feels different from the one before. Thankfully there is help for every type of game in the form of our golf instructor and owner of Famous Fairways Golf Academy, John Konya. Using one of the area's best practice facilities, John offers a variety of instructional packages to help build your game from the ground up or polish some of the rough areas. Whether you are looking for individual, group, or corporate instruction, there is a package available.

About the Instructor

John is the instructor for Famous Fairways Golf Academy and has served as the Lead Instructor and Director at several Nike Golf Camps, working to improve golfer's swings since the early 80's. Many of John's philosophies come from working under such notable PGA Professionals as John Bobick, Dave Kemble, George Thomas, the former Notre Dame Golf Coach and Master Professional, along with Arch Watkins, who developed PGA Tour Star, Billy Mayfair. During the last twenty plus years, John has developed programs that will improve your game and make it more enjoyable.

Gals Instructional Golf League

Do you GIGL?  Hopefully by the time you finish reading this you will be.  GIGL is a five-week instructional golf league designed just for women who want to learn the game of golf or have been playing for years and have fun doing it.  Each week will include an hour of instruction and a chance to play a few holes afterwards to practice what you learned.  This is a low-pressure environment that will give you the opportunity to enjoy the game, meet new friends, and have a few giggles.

Foursome Lesson Packages

Whether your regular foursome has hit a rough patch or you’re a new group just starting out, the foursome lesson package is just for you. The two-hour instructional package will offer a great way to help assist with individual problem areas and help build a better group dynamic. After the two-hour instruction there is an option to play a nine hole round at the conclusion to implement the new strategies your group just learned.
